Hygiene that helps

Pick up dog poo daily. Keep litter trays clean and scooped. Cover sandpits and refresh sand if it smells musty. Wash hands after garden play. Control fleas because they help spread tapeworms.

Eating and play habits

Do not let pets scavenge raw offal or carcasses. Freeze raw treats before feeding if you use them. Keep food bowls indoors overnight and store feed in sealed containers.
