We have temporarily paused sales of NexGard Spectra for Cats as a precaution, following the publication of a peer-reviewed study in the Journal of the American Veterinary Medical Association (Nov 2025) reporting rare neurologic reactions in certain cats with a known genetic sensitivity (MDR1/ABCB1 mutation) after exposure to eprinomectin.
We are reviewing these findings with the manufacturer and our veterinarian and founder, Dr Feargus.
This precaution does not affect other NexGard or Frontline products for dogs or for cats without this sensitivity.
Our decision is based solely on animal-safety considerations and will be reviewed as further guidance becomes available.
